Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed that newcomer Sadio Mane is still adapting to his team’s playing style, but he must be more confident, following the Senegalese striker failed to hit a ball on target in a 2-0 victory over Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sani scored Bayern’s two goals, while Mane went out in the 70th minute, as he scored five goals with Bayern since his move from Liverpool, but he has fasted from scoring in the last four games.
“It’s normal for a new player who has to adapt to a slightly different style of play than he was at Liverpool,” Nagelsmann told reporters.
He continued: “I said this week that I would like him to do some things, maybe less possession or pass to colleagues, and be more confident in himself, but we are very happy with him, and he will leave his mark on our style.”
