Mandala Shoji and his wife, Denova, felt thrown out of the hotel where they were staying in the Pontianak area, West Kalimantan. Before check out time, their belongings were packed and removed from the room by the hotel without notification.

The couple shared a video of how all their belongings were packed and placed in the hotel lobby. The hotel is said to have packed and removed the items without prior permission from Mandala Shoji and his wife, who were not in the hotel room at that time.

Mandala Shoji, when filling Rumpi: No Secret yesterday, said that when the hotel staff packed his things, he was being an MC at an event at the same hotel. Likewise his wife, Denova, who was outside the room.

As a result, some items were packaged poorly and some suitcases were damaged.

“The broken suitcase mightn’t be closed, so I used a neat rope,” protested Denova, Mandala Shoji’s wife.

“While we were on our way home, we forced it to close. In the room there were bags, money, an ATM, everything there. Thank God, we checked and it wasn’t lost. We tried to let them know carefully. Until the people there saw everything, ” said Mandala Shoji.

Mandala Shoji found out that his belongings had been taken out of the room without permission when he was going to get the charger. At that time the program he was hosting was taking a break.

As a result, the event was delayed because Mandala Shoji was shocked and had to deal with this unpleasant incident.

“In the end, the event was delayed until sunset. So it was our burden too, I was the MC, (surely people) thought where MC Mandala was going? Not professional. That was what we were thinking. Because my MC partner was also looking for me too. After I told the story, people “People think negatively regarding us, I understand,” explained Mandala Shoji, who felt very disadvantaged.

Mandala Shoji and his wife intend to sue the hotel. The wife, Denova, also felt disrespected as a woman who wears the hijab because unknown men held items such as her underwear.

“(I want to sue) IDR 100 billion, immaterial. I’ve never shaken hands with a man other than my husband. Those are my personal, intimate items that are being held by the roomboy,” said Denova.

“Today we have sent a summons. After 3-4 days of no response, we are pursuing civil and criminal charges,” he continued.

Mandala Shoji said that at that time there was no solution from the hotel. What the hotel did did not make Mandala Shoji and his wife satisfied.

“There was no (solution). Their solution was just, ‘Sorry, this is beyond our capabilities’. They just said that. After our incident there was another one. We were already grumbling and it turned out our friend experienced the same incident. Me in the followingnoon, my friend in the evening. “When he asked where his things were, he moved them to my room,” said Mandala Shoji.

So far, Mandala Shoji said there has been no response from the hotel. Regarding the peaceful door, Mandala Shoji and his wife don’t want to talk too much before seeing the response from the hotel in question.

“(Peace) Depends on what they want,” Mandala Shoji.
