An official statement posted on the Manchester United website read: “Manchester United is pleased to announce the signing of Foote Fijkhorst from Burnley on loan until June of this year.”
The Dutch star joined Besiktas, Turkey, on loan as well, scoring 9 goals and making 4 in 18 matches this season.
The player, who shone with the Netherlands national team in the World Cup recently, said: “I am lucky to join Manchester United. I played against United before, and it feels great now to have the opportunity to wear his famous red shirt.”
He continued, “I have followed the development of the team’s performance under the leadership of Eric ten Hag this season, and I cannot wait to start playing my part in helping the team achieve its goals.”
