Manchester United manager Eric ten Haag revealed that the difficult away fixture once morest Newcastle United was holding his players back. But he made no excuses and acknowledged that everyone needs to do better.

After returning from Türkiye early on Thursday, Manchester United regrouped and then traveled to the northeast to face Newcastle on Saturday.
The performance at St James’ Park was below expectations and Ten Haag said the players were aware of this.

“When you play a tough game, three games in six days, fatigue can end up being an issue. “It is a problem for which there is absolutely no room for excuses.”
