Manchester City signed their sixth victory in a row in the Premier League by winning on Saturday on home soil once morest Nottingham Forest (2-0, 6th day).
Apart from its misstep during the Community Shield (defeat on penalties once morest Arsenal), Manchester City has won everything since the start of the season. In the Premier League, Pep Guardiola’s men remained on five wins in as many matches and on Saturday, they added a sixth victory by winning at home once morest Nottingham Forest (2-0, 6th day). Dominant in the first period, and even following Rodri’s red following returning from the locker room, the Cityzens logically won.
To build their victory, the locals did not wait long since on a serve from Walker, Foden opened the scoring in the seventh minute of play (1-0). Seven minutes later, once more for the Mancunians with a second goal from Haaland (2-0, 14th). Enough to calmly manage operations and reach the locker rooms two units ahead. There will still be a small black spot in this meeting with the direct red card for Rodri, barely a minute following the restart (46th).
Haaland misses himself
The Spaniard’s guilty blow once morest Gibbs-White therefore did not prevent City from winning. And this despite Nottingham’s domination during the second period. Unfortunately for them, the visitors will have sorely lacked offensive precision, while Ederson will have let nothing slip through his line. In favor, Haaland might have scored a double, but his recovery from a pass from Aké was completely missed (78th). In the standings, Manchester City remains first and cannot be caught, even if its direct pursuers win. Forest is tenth.

In the two other matches which took place at the same time, Crystal Palace and Fulham did not manage to decide between themselves (0-0), nor did Luton and Wolverhampton (1-1). The Wolves had opened the scoring through Neto while they were numerically inferior, but the promoted managed to equalize from the penalty spot thanks to Morris.
