Manchester City, Liverpool win first quarter

Manchester City beat Atletico Madrid in the first quarter of the Champions League. City won by an unassailable margin. In another match, Liverpool beat Benfica by three goals to one.

Atletico Madrid played a defensive game in Etihad without conceding a single shot. City took advantage of one of the falling chances when eleven players defended and parked the bus. Nunes took advantage of Conata’s error to give Benfica a goal in the 49th minute. The goal gave Benfica hope but failed to win. Liverpool won the game in the 87th minute with a goal from Lewis. The second quarter was at Anfield. So things will not be easy for Benfica.
