Manchester City is going through a complex institutional moment following being accused by the Premier League of having committed 115 financial irregularities between 2009 and 2018. Former footballer Sergio “Kun” Agüero, a figure of the club in part of that period, came to the crossroads of this complaint.
“What I can say is that our achievements as a team on the field were earned with effort, sportsmanship and in a fair manner,” said the Argentine, who played in the citizen team for a decade (from 2011 to 2021), in an interview with the betting site Stake, according to the EFE agency.

Agüero is one of the historical symbols of Manchester City: he is the club’s all-time top scorer, with 26 goals in 390 games and has won five Premier Leagues, one FA Cup and six League Cups.

Manchester City is currently under investigation following the Premier League flagged 115 financial irregularities between 2009 and 2018.
