Manalapan, FL Couple Arrested for Stealing $130,000 from Local Football League: Shocking Details Revealed

A Manalapan, Florida couple have been arrested following investigators conducted a lengthy investigation into their finances and accused them of stealing $130,000 from a local football league to pay for personal expenses.

On July 10, an investigator arrested Kathleen Murawski and Joseph Murawski for theft of chattels, conspiracy to commit theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.

The investigation into their alleged crimes lasted six months, according to a statement from the Old Bridge Police Department.

“I never liked her. I always thought she didn’t make the league better, but worse. She was not following protocol. There are so many good things that have gone since she took over. Instinct does not fail you, ”wrote a surfer on the Facebook page of the police.

“It breaks my heart. I know this family…I grew up with them both, they are wonderful people and I don’t know what issues drove them to do this, but they must have been desperate…They both come from very magnets and wonderful families…”, for his part commented a second Internet user.

Kathleen Murawski was president of the Old Bridge Soccer League, while Joseph Murawski was field manager, reports True Crime.

The two people allegedly took advantage of their position to steal $120,000 (CAN) from the organization by withdrawing money from the football league account.

Old Bridge Police claim they used the money to “finance personal purchases, including but not limited to expenses related to a trip to Walt Disney World and other trips, a extravagant party for their child, purchases on Amazon and utility bills for their house”.

Investigator Jessica Caffey reportedly began investigating following an Old Bridge football league official noticed a ‘problem with league accounts’.

Joseph and Kathleen Murawski are being held at Middlesex County Correctional Center.
