Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports decided to appoint a temporary committee to manage the Zamalek Club, following a collective resignation submitted by the members of the team’s board of directors and following the decision to remove Mortada Mansour from the position of Chairman of the Board.
The Egyptian newspaper “Al-Ahram” stated that the committee, which will manage the club’s affairs in the next stage, consists of: Major General Hassan Musa Abdel Kafi (executive director), Ahmed Fouad Al-Watan (financial manager) and Ayman Abdel Moneim Abu Saree (director of sports activity).
Major General Hassan Moussa, executive director of the “White Knight” team, spoke to the “Match” program on the Egyptian “Sada El Balad” channel, regarding his new duties, saying: “Zamalek is rich in its sons and leaders, and everyone has the desire to be the number 1 club…” .
He continued by saying, “There is no problem with Zamalek Club that deserves to be mentioned, because we are working to end all crises…I am very optimistic that the team’s future will be fine.”
Regarding the team coach Juan Osorio’s arrears for nearly a month, Moussa said: “This issue will be resolved, and we will see all the coach’s requests.”
And regarding the future of the player Ahmed Sayed “Zizou” with the team and allegations that he had received an offer from the Saudi Youth Club, Hassan Musa said: “I received a phone call that his issue is resolved, and Zizou is continuing with the club by 90%.”
