TEACHER of Political Science at Andalas University Asrinaldi believes that President-elect Prabowo Subianto’s statement to the political parties in his coalition not to assign a minister to seek money from the APBN tends to be just an appeal.
“I’m sure that even though it’s an appeal, it tends to be normative in my opinion,” said Asrinaldi when contacted by Antara from Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Saturday (11/10).
Therefore, he advised Prabowo to learn from President Joko Widodo’s 10-year government so that he is committed to maintaining a clean government cabinet, not to consider it just a suggestion or normative.

According to Asrinaldi, if it is only a recommendation or normative then it is difficult for him to say that a clean and authoritative Prabowo government can be formed.
Previously, Prabowo, while attending the National PKB Legislative Coordination Meeting in Jakarta, Thursday (10/10), said he had spoken to political parties not to appoint ministers and seek money from the APBN.
“All general chairmen, all representatives, I say, brothers, don’t assign the ministers you appoint to the government that I will lead, don’t assign them to look for money from the APBN,” said Prabowo.

The General Chair of the Gerindra Party reminded that currently the digital era is fast-paced, so political parties are asked not to try to find money from the APBN.
However, Prabowo admits that every institution and organization, including political parties, needs money. However, it is better to look for it in a halal and good way.
Therefore, he said that his future government would manage state assets well so that it could support all institutions in the country. (I-2)
