Man who killed wife to get girlfriend jailed for 65 years; Trapped Body Tracker | Man who killed wife jailed for 65 years

Washington: The man who killed his wife was arrested in the US. The court sentenced him to 65 years in prison. 46-year-old Richard Dabate killed his wife Connie Dabate to live with his girlfriend. The Fitbit body tracker that his wife was wearing at the time of her death was the key to the murder.

The murder took place on Christmas 2015. The conflict between Richard’s statement to the police and the information on the body tracker on the day of the murder was revealed to the police. Around 100 witnesses were examined during the seven-year long court proceedings.

Richard kept firing at Connie. Their children, aged six and nine, were at school at the time. When neighbors heard the noise, they found Connie dead on the ground and Richard tied to a chair nearby.

Richard told the police that two masked men entered the house and shot at his wife and tied her to a chair. However, the police could not find any evidence of the conflict in the house.

Suspicious, the police questioned Richard in detail. It lasted six hours. During this interrogation, he admitted to the police that he had a girlfriend. He said that his girlfriend was pregnant and his wife did not know about the relationship. However, he did not admit to killing his wife.

Later, the police checked Richard and Connie’s laptop and mobile. This is how the police are also checking the body tracker that was in Kony’s hand when he died. A body tracker test showed that Connie was still alive after Richard testified that she was shot. The police found many contradictions in Richard’s statement.
