Cameroonian international Andre underwent Onana The Inter Milan goalkeeper for a medical examination in Manchester United, following his arrival yesterday in England to officially complete his transfer procedures during the current summer transfer period.Andre Onana arrived at Carrington headquarters in Manchester hours ago, hours following his arrival in England.
“The transfer of Cameroonian Onana to Manchester United will cost the Red Devils coffers 51 million euros, in addition to 4 million euros in additions,” said Fabrizio Romano, correspondent for the Italian “Sky Sports” network.
Cameroonian Andre Onana, 27, joined Italian Inter Milan last summer from Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam for 4 years, until June 2027.
The Inter Milan goalkeeper said in an interview with the Italian newspaper, “La Gazzetta dello Sport”: “I am a person who always wants to take on new challenges. Playing in the English Premier League and a club like Manchester United is an irresistible offer, and all parties wanted the deal to happen.”
Onana added: “The important thing is to be honest and always tell people the truth.”
He continued: “But what matters is that even if I stay at Inter Milan, I will be equally happy because I have not had any problems with the team. In fact, there is a magic in Milan that is difficult to explain.”
And Andre Onana spoke regarding his ambitions with United, the Cameroonian goalkeeper commented: “I want to follow the club’s goalkeeper legends such as Peter Schmeichel, Edwin van der Sar and David de Gea.”
Onana ended his remarks by saying, “Choosing me from Manchester United to guard the team’s goal makes me proud to continue the journey following these names, and I want to win new titles with the new club.”
