A man was shot in the leg on Thursday evening in Jette, the Brussels prosecutor’s office said on Friday, confirming information from Sudinfo. The victim’s life is not in danger. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the facts and identify the perpetrator(s).
“We can confirm that on November 30 around 10:30 p.m. the police were called on avenue de l’Exposition Universelle in Jette, by a man who indicated that he had been the victim of a gunshot wound to the leg in front of his home“, said the prosecution. “The police immediately provided first aid to the victim, following which he was transferred to hospital by the emergency services. His days are not in danger“.
The police then set up a judicial perimeter to keep all traces for the investigation. After learning the facts, the prosecution ordered the first tasks, namely the analysis of images from video surveillance cameras in the surrounding area and the intervention of the federal judicial police laboratory.
The investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the facts and identify the perpetrator(s).
