A man, whose identity is still unknown, set himself on fire on April 19 near a Manhattan courthouse, where jury selection in the criminal case of former US President Donald was taking place Trump, reports the New York Times.

The man doused himself with liquid around 1:35 p.m. local time (8:35 p.m. Moscow time) while standing in Colt Pond Park, across from the courthouse. This happened in a part of the park reserved for Trump supporters. It is unclear why the man took such action.

Witnesses and police tried to put out the fire. The victim was taken by ambulance, he located in critical condition.
