Man sentenced for sexual abuse of 10-year-old girl

The infant had come with the subject following being sent by her mother to buy bread.

Under charges of aggravated sexual violence, the Public Ministry (MP) sentenced a man to 22 years and 6 months in prison, in the state of Amazonas.

The sentence was handed down following evaluating the evidence presented in the case of rape of a 10-year-old girl.

The sexual assault occurred in the city of Puerto Ayacucho, where a man took off the minor’s underwear and attempted the act of forced penetration.

The infant had come with the subject following being sent by her mother to buy bread.

The defendant, a business owner, did not immediately sell the bread to the victim, but told him to accompany him home with the promise of giving it to him once an errand was completed there.

Upon reaching the house, the sentenced man led her to the room and stripped her of her clothes.

However, the little girl fled and informed her mother of what had happened.

Officials immediately processed the complaint and went to the attacker’s address, who introduced the MP.

At the presentation hearing, the 9th Prosecutor charged the man with the crime of aggravated sexual violence.

Once the elements of conviction presented by the prosecutor’s representation were evaluated, the Amazonas Trial Court 1 issued the aforementioned measure of deprivation of liberty, and the confinement in the local Bolivarian National Police (PNB) was ordered.
