Man rescued after 160 hours trapped under rubble in Turkey

According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, rescue teams from Russia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan saved a man from rubble in Turkey 160 hours following the earthquake. Earlier, the Russian Emergencies Ministry announced that eight people had been rescued in Turkey and Syria.

According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, “at the work site of the Russian team, by the joint efforts of the rescue forces of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan in the search and rescue process in Turkey Ky saved one person 160 hours following the earthquake. It took more than four hours to get the man out of the wreckage. The work is done at night, there is a risk to life when it can collapse structures.” Doctors from the Russian Emergencies Ministry immediately gave first aid to the victim before being pulled out of the wreckage. The victim was transferred to medical staff.

Earlier, the Russian Emergencies Ministry announced that, since the start of search and rescue operations, its personnel had rescued 5 people from the rubble in Turkey and 3 people. in Syria, including a child. Russian rescuers continue to reach areas where there may be survivors under the rubble. They are searching for survivors with the help of special equipment.

In another development, in the past few days, Russian people have brought several tons of support goods to the donation point of the Syrian Embassy in Moscow. According to the agency, the first shipment was sent to Syria. The most necessary goods are warm clothes, matches, cereals, power banks, diapers, baby formula. Turkish diplomatic missions in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other Russian cities have also begun a similar aid collection. As the Turkish Consulate General in Kazan has noted, warm clothes, tents, sleeping bags and diapers are the most essential things right now.
