Panic was experienced inside a bus when a man who, apparently arguing with a woman and who would be his romantic partner, pulled out a firearm and shot her in front of the passengers who were traveling in the mass transportation vehicle.
The incident occurred at 06:15 pm this Wednesday, November 27 on Regional Avenue and 30th Street, during rush hour.
According to the commander of the Police of the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley, General William Castaño Ramos, The woman lost her life due to the shots she received, while the suspect, after committing the attack, tried to take his own life in front of the eyes of the bus users who witnessed the entire scene.
“When the surveillance patrols arrive at the scene, they observe the lifeless body of the woman and the man still with vital signs. “This person is transferred to a care center where the rights of those captured for the crime of homicide are made known to them,” the officer indicated.

Witnesses recorded the scene
In videos published on social networks and that were recorded by some witnesses, you can see the woman’s body lying in a pool of blood in the middle of the bus aisle. On the same hallway, but closer to the bus check-in, was the body of the man who was wearing a black T-shirt and cap and who was still breathing.
—He is alive—, says one man to another.
“But he is the one who has the gun,” he answers.
“Where do you have the gun?” he asks again while the other points.
The authorities, upon arriving at the scene, seize the firearm with which the suspect would have committed the crime and, according to General Castaño, with the evidentiary material and the collection of testimonies from those who were traveling in the vehicle, the Prosecutor’s Office will be able to charge him with the crime of femicide as soon as the captured person recovers from the wounds he inflicted on himself.
