A 36-year-old woman was murdered by her 59-year-old husband, who assured the authorities that she had taken her own life in the family home, located in Caracas.
The subject assured the police forces that Ingrid Loregnis Alvarez Ropero committed suicide inside the apartment where they lived.
After performing the law autopsy, it was determined that Ingrid died of severe brain edema due to mechanical asphyxiation. At that moment, the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc), began the investigation of the case.
The investigations confirmed that the couple had had an argument and the subject suffocated her, later pretending that it was a suicide.
