Man killed on Grünerløkka in Oslo: The defendant pleaded not guilty when the case began

– She has no memory of the incident. This is due to the influence of drugs, and that she probably had a “blackout”, said the woman’s defender, lawyer Ole Petter Drevland, in court according to Dagbladet.

25-year-old Mathias Stormbo Macdonald was found badly injured in a stairwell in Thorvald Meyers gate on Grünerløkka in Oslo on 21 May last year. Life-saving first aid was attempted, but the 25-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

In the hour before he died, the defendant and Macdonald had several conversations with both AMK and the emergency department.

An audio recording from an emergency call with AMK was played in court. Here the woman claimed that Macdonald had harmed himself.

– I haven’t done it, I haven’t done it, I haven’t done it, says MacDonald in the audio recording.

The conversation took place at 4:37 p.m., less than an hour before the stabbing occurred, according to the prosecutor’s office.

The woman said in her statement that she does not remember this conversation.

After this, the emergency room called Macdonald and asked how he was doing. He said he was unharmed, but that his girlfriend was intoxicated and violent towards him.

At 17.22 the defendant himself called AMK and said that Macdonald was lying in the hallway bleeding.

When asked by AMK why he was bleeding, she replied that they had argued and that he had stabbed himself with a knife, writes Oslo newspaper.
