A 28-year-old man was detained following being accused of killing his father following throwing him into the void in the middle of an argument, in the El Rodeo sector, in Guatire, Miranda state.

Through his Instagram account, Douglas Rico, director of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps, indicated that it was Andrés Yovanny Castellano (48), who was the father of Yhonaiker Eduardo Castellano Castillo (28), his victimizer.

The incident occurred on August 12 when father and son were together drinking alcoholic beverages in the El Rodeo sector, El Descanso street. But following several minutes, they had a strong argument for reasons still unknown. At that moment, it was when Yhonaiker Castellano pushed his father into the void and fell into a vacant lot. Then he left the place leaving his father behind him.

According to information from Rico, residents of the area helped Andrés Castellano and transferred him to the University Hospital of Caracas. However, following several days hospitalized he passed away.

Cicpc officials proceeded to act and found the person responsible in the same place where the events occurred.

The case was made available to the 30th Prosecutor of the Public Ministry of the state of Miranda.
