A 41-year-old is said to have stabbed his ex-partner in Aderklaa (Gänserndorf district) on Wednesday morning. The 31-year-old was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, the police said in a broadcast. The suspect fled and was arrested in Raasdorf near Vienna, a few kilometers away. The State Criminal Police Office of Lower Austria has started investigations into attempted murder.
According to the broadcast, the woman was out of danger. According to media reports, the seriously injured victim informed the officials that her ex-partner had attacked her. The man from the Gänserndorf district was subsequently arrested by the Rapid Intervention Group (SIG).
