A man died on June 14, 2023 in hospital following being recovered unconscious three days earlier in Monceau-sur-Sambre (Charleroi, Hainaut), the Charleroi police informed Thursday through a search notice.
The victim was found on Sunday June 11, 2023 at 4:50 a.m. on rue du Port, between rue de Jumet and rue Jules Jaumet, the police said.
“The first elements of the investigation suggest that he was probably hit by a vehicle”, add the latter. “Shortly before, this man was seen in the rue de Jumet. He staggered in the middle of the street, calling out to motorists and annoying residents by ringing the doorbell of homes.
The deceased was dressed in a red T-shirt, a black jacket and dark denim pants at the time of the incident.
The police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed any scene in connection with the events or who might help the investigation.
