Man Found Dead at Pantitlán Metro Station: Investigation Underway

A man was found dead on the stairs of one of the station entrances Pantitlán of Line 1 of the Mexico City Metro, which was seen by cleaning staff.

The events occurred in Modal Transfer Center (CETRAM) Pantitlánlocated on Avenida Río Churubusco and Miguel Lebrija Street, Iztacalco mayor’s office, around 6:35 p.m., according to police reports.

At the point, a cleaning employee alerted personnel from the Banking and Industrial Police (PBI) of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) regarding a man lying on the first landing of the stairs.

The man was face down on the stairs that lead to the platforms of Metro Line 1, in hallway J, so the PBI elements approached the scene.

When there was no response from the man, the police notified their commanders and requested emergency services; they arrived at the point paramedics who diagnosed the person without vital signs, etiology to be determined.

The area was cordoned off and the police officer was informed of the events. Public ministryfor the corresponding expert services and investigations of the case.
