A plane heading to Israel had to turn around following three hours of flight because an individual did not want to free a seat reserved for flight attendants.
The man who was waiting for the toilet to become free sat in the space reserved for the plane’s staff members, according to the Dailymail.
The altercation, to say the least unusual, took place aboard a flight of the airline company United Airlines.
When the staff intervened to let him know he mightn’t be there, he started screaming.
“The crew members told him that if he did not return to his seat, the plane would be forced to return to New York,” said a passenger who witnessed the scene.
According to her, the man simply did not believe the flight attendants’ warnings and decided to stay in the emergency staff seat.
To everyone’s surprise, the staff members allegedly continued protocol and asked the pilot to turn back.
Passengers booed the man as they exited the plane.
They had to wait a few hours before heading back to Israel the next morning.
