An unidentified man died this morning when he fell from a social “support” housing building in Times Square, the theater and tourist center of NYC, the authorities reported.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene around 6:50 a.m. on 43rd Street near 8th Avenue in Manhattan, the FDNY said. The building “The Times Square” is managed since 1991 by the non-profit organization “Breaking Ground” (formerly known as Common Ground).

It has 652 units and originally there was a hotel. Currently “combines permanent affordable housing and supportive services on-site for low-income or formerly homeless adults, people with serious mental illness, and those living with HIV/AIDS.”

It is not known how high it fell from and no other information was immediately available. Two bellhops from the Westin Hotel across the street said that the NYPD closed off the block while their officers investigatednarrowed New York Post.

end of november a construction worker died when he fell into the void in a building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan (NYC). And in August an immigrant actor beat her wife with a hammer before throwing her from a 6th floor window in the Bronx and then he himself jumped, while his two sons were at home.
