Man drowns in Tulum after falling from a kayak

TULUM.- The body of a man was found in the Coba lagoon in Tulum this Monday morning.

This is the case of the young man who disappeared yesterday Sunday following the kayak in which he was fishing with a friend capsized.

Yesterday Sunday, a type boat kayak in which two people were present capsized in the Cobá lagoon.

One of them was rescued, without requiring a transfer to the hospital, but the other was not found until Monday morning.

During the followingnoon a search operation was carried out in which firefighters and emergency services participated, although the residents of the area expressed their concern since the lagoon still contains crocodiles that might have attacked the young man.

On Monday morning, following almost 24 hours of search and rescue efforts, they found the lifeless body of the young man whose kayak capsized in the Cobá lagoon in Tulum.

Elements of the police participated in the operation Security SecretaryCivil Protection and Firefighters using advanced technology and drones to locate it among the mangroves.

The body was found in the early hours of Monday morning.
