VERACRUZ.- A man, 29 years old, lost his life Due to the lightning strike occurred during a baseball game in the community of La Laguna in the municipality of Coatepec.
Besides four players were injured so they were treated by first aid specialists.
The events occurred on the followingnoon of this Sunday, April 21, when during an electrical storm, which caused a lightning strike on the sports field.
The electric shock also injured four players, who suffered burns. Immediately their colleagues gave them support to the five people. They then requested help from emergency services through 911.
They arrived at the site Mexican Red Cross paramedicspersonal of Civil protection Municipal of Coatepec and the National Emergency Commission and immediately provided help to the athletes. However, they might only confirm that one of the players had already had died.
The injured were transferred to different hospitals in the city of Xalapa, as they had burns on various parts of the body.
Several people were on the field, among them, the relatives of the injured players.
