The Children and Adolescents Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry (MP) demonstrated before the corresponding jurisdictional body the guilt of Edgar Argueta Trujillo.

The aforementioned person was sentenced to 33 years and four months in prison for the crime of sexual assault in real competition.

According to the MP, Argueta Trujillo sexually assaulted a girl, from 8 to 12 years old.

She added that the abuses took place in a building in Chinautla, Guatemala.

The First Criminal Sentencing Court for Crimes of Femicide and Other Forms of Violence against Women and Sexual Violence in Guatemala also sentenced Argueta Trujillo to pay Q12,000 in reparation for moral damages.
