A man who tried to smuggle 14 snakes in his pocket during customs inspection was caught in China. The incident came to light when the officials, who felt abnormal in his behavior, conducted an inspection. The suspect was arrested at Fuxian port in Southeast China. The man, dressed in black and wearing a white cap, was patting his pocket as he stood at the check point. Of the 14 snakes, three were identified as Ball pythons, locally known as royal pythons. These snakes are listed as ‘threatened’ on the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
