A man carrying a rifle was arrested on the morning of Thursday April 11 in the RER B at Villeparis – Mitry-le-Neuf station (Seine-et-Marne), franceinfo learned from the police.

It was RER users who reported the presence of this individual, carrying this weapon, in the RER B train at Denfert-Rochereau station, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, in the morning. Police officers intervened further, in Villeparisis, to arrest this man.

The rifle in question was not loaded, police said. The individual was taken into custody. RER line B was disrupted in the morning.
