Man arrested with three charges of violence against women and promoting drug addiction

A 25-year-old man, identified as Wilson “N”, was captured in Coatepeque, Quetzaltenango, for having three complaints for violence against women and promotion or encouragement of drug addiction.
The Civil national police (PNC) explained that the arrest took place in the village of Nuevo Chuatuj, Coatepeque, Quetzaltenango.
The National Division against Criminal Development of Gangs (Independence) was in charge of the proceedings.
The detainee had three outstanding arrest warrants issued by the local court this year.
The crimes they are accused of
The arrested person is accused of the crimes of violence against women in its physical manifestation in the private sphere, violence against women in its psychological manifestation and promotion or stimulation of drug addiction, the PNC detailed.
The arrest warrants are dated January 23, 2024 and February 21, 2024.
