The experience of the officials of the Coordination of Investigations of theft and robbery of vehicles of the Maracay Municipal Delegation, destroyed the claims of a citizen identified as Erick Contreras (39), who reported that unknown subjects had stolen his car.
A CICPC commission began field investigations, interviewing eyewitnesses and was able to determine that Contreras had simulated the theft in order to defraud the vehicle’s insurance company, which allowed him to obtain financial benefit.
They immediately began to search for the aforementioned citizen whom they apprehended when he was walking along Ruíz Pineda Street, sector 19 de Abril, Samán de Güere parish, Mariño municipality, Aragua state, for the crime of simulating a punishable act.
After the arrest, he confessed where the Chevrolet Spark vehicle, with no visible license plates, was located. A vehicle in a state of dismantling was also found at that location. The case was placed under the orders of the 22nd Prosecutor’s Office of the Judicial District of the state of Aragua.
