A man in his 40s who sexually assaulted his own daughter was arrested and indicted.
The Gwangju District Prosecutor’s Office’s Women and Children Crimes Investigation Department announced on the 4th that it had arrested and indicted Mr. A, in his 40s, on charges of violating the Special Act on Punishment of Sexual Crimes.
Mr. A is accused of molesting or sexually assaulting his own daughter, middle school student B, six times over a period of 10 years, including on July 29th.
It was revealed that Mr. A committed this crime while his family was out.
The police initially sent Mr. A on charges of sexual assault once, but the prosecution confirmed through additional investigation that Mr. A had committed sexual violence over a long period of time.
The prosecution also requested the attachment of an electronic device to Mr. A and a probation order, and requested the family court to lose parental rights to the victim.
The prosecution said, “We will thoroughly investigate and take strict action against the hidden crimes of sexual violence against humanity within the home.”
