Last Wednesday (22/11), the Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG) carried out the arrest in the act of a 24-year-old man in Ipatinga, in the eastern region of Minas Gerais, on suspicion of fraud. His identity was not disclosed.
According to the police, the action came following complaints related to the sale of adulterated cell phones, triggering the investigation that led to the capture of the individual. The suspect sold the devices through a social network.
On two occasions, he would have obtained a total of R$5,000 selling the devices. One of the victims went public to report that she purchased an iPhone, the model of which was not specified, but received a device equipped with an Android system.
PCMG, in its investigation, monitored the delivery of one of the devices purchased by one of the victims, which culminated in the suspect being approached and arrested in the act. The man will remain at the disposal of Justice, awaiting legal developments.
