HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – A man incarcerated in Virginia was arrested for a murder that happened in Hartford back in May 2022.
Hartford police announced that an arrest warrant charged 32-year-old Daniel White with murder, first-degree assault and criminal liability.

On May 19, 2022 just before 10:10 p.m. Hartford police received a notification from their ShotSpotter detection system from the area of 115 Zion St.
An officer was on Ward Street at the time and saw a driver, later identified as 25-year-old Daryl Walker of Bloomfield, speed east down the street. The driver crashed into a parked vehicle, made contact with the police cruiser, and then crashed into the Hartford Police Substation located at 134 Affleck St.
Officers saw that the driver and a front seat passenger suffered from gunshot wounds. Both shooting victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Police said they found evidence of a shooting in the area of 127 Zion St. They determined that the victims were shot at that location.
Walker was ultimately pronounced dead at the hospital.
The front seat passenger, a man in his 20s, was listed in stable condition at the time.
Through the course of the investigation, a suspect was developed.
An arrest warrant was drafted and approved by a judge of the Superior Court. It charged White with the crimes.
Police said White was incarcerated in Virginia on unrelated charges and was extradited back to Hartford on Thursday.
He was held on a bond of $1.5 million.
