A young mother, Marguerita Sheridan (21), tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run incident in Rathkeale, County Limerick, on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred around 12:15 pm when a silver Ford Transit van struck a set of gates next to which Ms. sheridan was standing. The driver fled the scene instantly. gardaí have arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the incident and have recovered the van believed to be involved for a technical examination. The man is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act,1984,at a Garda station in County Limerick. Authorities are investigating whether Ms. Sheridan was deliberately targeted as part of an ongoing feud between factions within a large family. It remains unclear whether the driver intended to kill or inflict serious harm upon Ms.Sheridan. The tragic incident occurred just three weeks after Ms. Sheridan welcomed her first child, a son, into the world.
