London: Malala Yousafzai said that children are suffering the most following the Israeli-Palestinian war. Malala also said that she prays for peace and justice for the children and people of the holy land.
Pakistani education activist and 2014 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala also said that an immediate ceasefire is needed in the war.
Malala added that the death toll and the number of injured following the war are increasing day by day and she knows the intolerable conditions she grew up in and therefore it is the children who suffer the most at such times.
“War is never kind to children. “That includes not only the children being abducted from Israel, but also the children in Gaza who are hiding without food and water for fear of airstrikes,” she said.
She condemned the incident through an Instagram post shared on Tuesday night.
In her Instagram post, Malala added that she had experienced first-hand the effects of intolerance and extremism at the age of 11, and that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that had been going on for several days was affecting children themselves.
In 2012, Malala was shot by the Taliban regime following she blogged for the freedom of education for girls at the age of 14. He was then admitted to Birmingham Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Malala Yousafzai is also Pakistan’s youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
