COORDINATOR of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI), Boyamin Saiman, said he would submit a request for a judicial review regarding the selection committee (pansel) for leadership candidates and the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) to the Constitutional Court (MK) today, Tuesday (5/11) at 14.00 WIB.
“The application will be registered for judicial review at the Constitutional Court, because it seems that this is pending. “I actually want to help Prabowo to uphold the constitution and implement the law where the authority to form a committee and hand it over to the DPR is Pak Prabowo’s right,” said Boyamin to Media Indonesia in Jakarta, Tuesday (5/11).
Boyamin emphasized that the committee related to the head of the KPK and Dewas KPK formed by the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, was no longer valid. He hopes that the DPR will not follow up and simply archive the letter from Jokowi.

“I hope that the DPR will simply archive the letter from Jokowi and ask because what Jokowi proposed cannot be processed and will not be followed up. “I also ask Pak Prabowo to immediately hand over 10 candidates for KPK leadership and adult KPK candidates who will of course come from the new committee,” he said.
Boyamin explained that the selection process for the selection committee to produce KPK chiefs and supervisors is very crucial and important for the enforcement of corruption crimes in the future. Thus, the purpose of the judicial review carried out is to save the country from manipulation of the law by corruption suspects.
He also hopes that this can enforce the eradication of corruption as well as anti-corruption institutions from suing suspects on the pretext of being declared as invalid suspects, because the KPK leadership is invalid due to their illegal election.

“So that the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) is not sued after the trial by any corruption suspect, because later the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) suspect will definitely file a lawsuit that the decision is considered invalid because it was decided by the KPK leadership which was formed illegally,” said Boyamin.
Boyamin also continues to encourage President Prabowo to form a new committee because legally, only Prabowo has the authority to form a committee for presidential candidates and KPK Dewas. It is said that there is still one month left to prepare for this
“There is still enough time to form a panel for the month until November, because the inauguration is still in December. “The DPR should also immediately send a letter to Prabowo to say that only Prabowo has the right to form a committee and submit the results to the DPR,” he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Saan Mustopa, said that the presidential letter (Surpres) containing the leadership candidates and candidates for the KPK supervisory board had not been discussed. “It hasn’t been (discussed) yet, it’s still just that,” he said on Monday (4/11).
Saan admitted that he did not know whether Puan had received the surpres or not. “I don’t know yet, I’ll check later,” said the NasDem politician.
Apart from that, according to Saan, until now there has been no new presidential decree sent by President Prabowo Subianto. “Not yet, it’s still about that,” he said.

Previously, Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that the surpres had been received by the chairman of the DPR RI, Puan Maharani. “It’s rich, yes. “Yesterday I heard that it was on Mrs. Puan’s table,” said Dasco when confirmed via short message, Thursday (24/10).
However, Dasco said that the DPR leadership had not yet gathered to decide on the next mechanism after receiving the letter. The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party said that the next mechanism would be determined through a leadership meeting. “We haven’t decided what the mechanism will be, because it has to be decided through the meeting,” said Dasco.
As for the mechanism, after receiving the Surpres containing a list of names, the DPR will carry out a fit and proper test on the candidates before finally being given back to the president. (J-2)

Job interview Script role play
**News Interview Script: Boyamin Saiman on Judicial Review Proposal**
**Interviewer:** Good afternoon, Boyamin Saiman. Thank you for joining us today. On this significant day, you’re submitting a request for a judicial review regarding the selection process for KPK leadership. Can you provide our viewers with some insight into why you believe this is necessary?
**Boyamin Saiman:** Good afternoon, and thank you for having me. The core reason for this judicial review is that we believe the selection committee formed by President Joko Widodo for KPK leadership is no longer valid. We feel it’s imperative to uphold the constitution and to ensure that the leadership selection is transparent and legal.
**Interviewer:** You mentioned that the authority to form this committee lies with the newly appointed Minister, Prabowo. What are your expectations from him regarding this matter?
**Boyamin Saiman:** Yes, it is indeed Prabowo’s right to establish a new committee for selecting KPK leadership candidates. I urge him to act swiftly and provide the 10 candidates necessary for this process. There is still time before the inauguration in December, and it’s crucial that this gets underway to restore faith in the KPK.
**Interviewer:** You’ve expressed concerns about the implications of an invalid KPK leadership. Could you elaborate on this?
**Boyamin Saiman:** Absolutely. If the current leadership is deemed invalid due to their illegal selection process, it opens up a pathway for corruption suspects to challenge KPK’s decisions in court. This could undermine our efforts to combat corruption. We need strong anti-corruption institutions that are built on a solid legal foundation.
**Interviewer:** What specific action do you hope the DPR will take in response to your request?
**Boyamin Saiman:** I hope that the DPR will archive the letter from President Jokowi and recognize that it cannot be processed further. This would allow us to move forward without the taint of an illegal selection process hindering our fight against corruption.
**Interviewer:** Lastly, what message would you like to convey to the public regarding the formation of this new committee?
**Boyamin Saiman:** I want the public to understand the importance of this process in ensuring that our anti-corruption efforts are effective and legitimate. I urge everyone to stay informed and support the notion that transparency and legality must prevail in our institutions.
**Interviewer:** Thank you very much, Boyamin Saiman, for sharing your insights with us today. We’ll be following this story closely.
**Boyamin Saiman:** Thank you for having me.
