Make a Wish Foundation Celebrates World Heart Disease Day: Fulfilling Wishes for Children with Chronic Heart Diseases

ABU DHABI, 29 SEPTEMBER / WAM / The “Make a Wish” Foundation celebrated World Heart Disease Day by lighting the candle of hope in the hearts of 18 of its children, both male and female, who suffer from various types of chronic heart diseases, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi, And Sheikha Noor bint Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, member of the Board of Trustees of the “Make a Wish” Foundation.

The Foundation hosted a special event in cooperation with “Sheikh Khalifa Medical City” in Abu Dhabi, one of the facilities of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “SEHA”, which is affiliated with the “PureHealth” group, the largest integrated health care platform in the Middle East. The children’s wishes varied between wanting to travel to perform religious rituals, Umrah, travel to Bosnia, and a group of the latest advanced electronic devices, various games, and an electric car.

His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi, appreciated the humanitarian efforts provided by the “Make a Wish” Foundation, and its role in fulfilling various wishes for children in order to bring joy and happiness to their hearts, in addition to the role of partner governmental and private agencies and institutions that contribute to supporting the goals. High standards in the society of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in order to enhance its position as an ideal destination for living, stability and prosperity.

His Excellency Dr. Mughair Al Khaili explained that the Department of Community Development, as the body regulating the social sector in Abu Dhabi, seeks to achieve a decent life for all members of society, by working with partners, government institutions and the private sector and in implementing the goals and visions set to make Abu Dhabi a global capital that keeps pace with various developments.

Hani Al-Zubaidi, CEO of the “Make a Wish” Foundation, extended his thanks, appreciation and gratitude to His Excellency Mugheer Al Khaili, for attending this event, which highlights the love of goodness and giving in the hearts of the people of the Emirates and members of its society, stressing that the Community Development Department is the best supporter of all the initiatives of charitable institutions and associations in general. He praised the department’s efforts and its constant keenness to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership to achieve a cohesive societal fabric dominated by happiness.
