Syahrir Cakkari, the lawyer representing Doctor IR’s wife, denied allegations suggesting that his client was involved in an extramarital affair with former Dandim 1408/Makassar Lt. Col. LG. Syahrir firmly asserted that IR has categorically rejected any claims of infidelity with LG.
“(IR) always insists that these allegations are false. There is absolutely no (affair). My client stated that if it came down to it, she would be willing to take an oath to prove her innocence,” Syahrir declared during a press conference held on Jalan Pengayoman in Makassar on Friday, November 22, 2024.
JA, the husband of IR, lodged a formal report concerning the suspected affair following an incident that transpired in the Kopitiam area on Jalan Haji Bau. This report has gained traction due to CCTV evidence captured at the Hyatt Hotel on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, which allegedly demonstrates the closeness between IR and LG. Nevertheless, Syahrir emphatically dismissed these accusations as unfounded.
“While they were seen at the Kopitiam area, they were simply among several individuals enjoying coffee and casual conversation. This interaction was misinterpreted as something more than it was,” he explained.
“Regarding the hotel’s CCTV footage, that information is also incorrect. Both my client and the footage don’t substantiate the claims made. There was not a single hotel room involved, and there is absolutely no evidence to support that claim,” he further clarified.
Syahrir acknowledged the existence of the report filed against his client but maintained that IR continues to assert her innocence regarding the allegations made by JA. “This report has been presented as evidence, yet my client firmly stands by her statement that it is not true,” he reiterated.

“I filed a complaint with Pomdam, knowing that this individual is a TNI member. I submitted the report on September 20,” elaborated JA during a press conference alongside his lawyer on Jalan Hertasning, Makassar, on Tuesday, November 19. He recounted his distressing experience upon learning that his wife was checked into a hotel with Lt. Col. LG in July 2024. According to JA, the hotel’s CCTV footage further corroborated his suspicions of infidelity.
“He checked in around 4 PM while I was overseas in Korea with our child. He went there alone. This prompted us to report to Pomdam, as there were serious concerns regarding his hotel visit,” JA revealed.
The fallout from the affair led to JA receiving a summons from his wife’s family, resulting in a troubling incident where he faced intimidation from a large group of individuals. “Around 30 people gathered outside my house, causing anxiety and fear for my safety. I eventually reported the situation to the police, who directed me to the Polrestabes. From there, we proceeded to file this complaint,” he stated.
