Majority of Brazilians prefer to use free apps with ads than pay to remove them

Data from a survey carried out by the website Mobile Time in partnership with Opinion Box, a search solutions company, pointed out that amMost Brazilians would rather use free apps with ads than pay to remove them.

The study showed that 42% of people prefer to use a free app with and another 10% said they are happy to use an app for free, with their commercial data shared with third parties without hassle.

Therefore, the percentage of people opting to use free apps with ads stood at 52%. Only 20% of users consider accessing a paid app without and the other 28% choose to pay as long as it has more content.

According to those responsible for the survey, more than 2,000 Brazilians aged 16 or over who access the internet and have a smartphone were interviewed. Industry experts point out that saving money is a top priority for most users.

“In this way, the number of spaces and display of advertisements for users increases considerably, expanding opportunities for sales of products or services and also brand exposure”, commented the COO & founder of AdGrowth, Bruno Niro.

As the same survey found, 80% of Brazilians use mobile devices with the Android operating system, while only 19% use iOS and 1% of users do not know which system the mobile has.

“We can thus see that there is a trend this year for increased investment in on mobile devices that use Android, which can reach even more people”, concluded Bruno Niro.
