An accident involving a truck occurred this morning shortly following 9 a.m. on the E411/A4 Namur – Luxembourg near Ochamps (Libin). This is an “ADR” truck transporting hazardous materials.
This one, traveling towards Brussels, lay down on its side, hitting a lighting pole and neutralizing the traffic lanes in the direction of the capital. The carriageway had to be closed in both directions and a diversion was put in place in each direction.
To Luxembourg: via exit 24 Transinne then N40 and N89 to take the E411/A4 at Libramont
Towards Brussels: via exit 25 Libramont then N89 and N40 to take the E411/A4 at Transinne
The police advise an alternative route via the N4 and the E25.
The Public Service of Wallonia (SPW) informed us at 3:35 p.m. that the road was reopened only towards Luxembourg.
We were also told that given the dangerousness of the intervention, a large safety perimeter was installed around the accident. This currently prevents us from obtaining more information.
Currently (7:25 p.m.), fuel pumping is still in progress. The end is scheduled no later than 9 p.m.
