Check out the major series and movies that are going to release in the third week of August on major OTT platforms.
1. Amala
Amala is a film starring Anarkali Marikar, Sarath Appani and Srikanth in lead roles. Directed by debutant Nishad Ibrahim, the film is produced by Muhsina Nishad Ibrahim under the banner of Mascot Productions and Tomman Entertainments. This movie is available on Amazon Prime.
2. Annapurna Photo Studio
Annapurna Photo Studio is a Telugu period romantic drama starring Chaitanya Rao Madadi and Lavanya Sahukara in the lead roles. Set in the 1980s, the film was directed by Chendu Muddu. The film will be available on ETV Win OTT platform from August 15.
3. Chhatrapati
Chhatrapati is a Hindi film starring actor Bellamkonda Srinivas and director VV Vinayak. The film is the official Hindi remake of SS Rajamouli’s 2005 blockbuster starring Prabhas in the lead role. The film will be available on Cee5 from 15th August.
4. 1001 Lies
The Malayalam film 1001 Lies also stars Ramya Suresh, Vidya Vijayakumar and Sinsa Shan in other lead roles. The plot revolves around the reunion of old friends. The critically acclaimed film was directed by Tamar KV. The film will be streamed on Sony Live from August 18.
5. The Monkey King
The anime will be released on Netflix from August 18.
6. Jarhead 2: Field of Fire
Jarhead 2: Field of Fire is an American action film directed by Don Michael Paul. The film follows a dangerous mission in Afghanistan by a US military team protecting a woman being pursued by the Taliban. The film will hit Netflix on August 16.
7. Untold: Hall of Shame (Documentary)
Directed by Brian Storkel, Untold: Hall of Shame investigates the biggest steroid scam in sports. The documentary is on Netflix on August 15.
8. Guns and Gulabs
Dulquer will play the lead role in the web series ‘Guns and Gulabs’. It is clear from the trailer that the theme of the series is gang war in the comedy crime thriller category. Dulquer plays the role of Inspector Arjun Verma in this film. It will release on 18th August on Netflix.
9. Depp Vs Heard
Documentary series on the legal battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. It will be streamed on August 16.
