The all-clear has now been given for both transport hubs – initially at around 9 p.m. for the Ostbahnhof, around 20 minutes later for the Main Station, according to the press office of the Styria Police. No suspicious items were found.
Train services temporarily suspended
The operation at both train stations began around 7:30 p.m. Investigators have not yet revealed how and where the threat came from. To be on the safe side, both buildings were evacuated and searched for suspicious objects.
For this purpose, train traffic was temporarily stopped and the station forecourt at the main station was also cleared. This meant that some Graz bus and tram lines were also temporarily affected by closures. Trains were stopped in front of the station.
