CHIEF OF THE ARMY’S SAF (Kasad) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak led the handover of the position of Commander of Kostrad (Pangkostrad) from Lieutenant General TNI Muhammad Saleh Mustafa to Major General (Mayjen) TNI Mohamad Hasan which took place at the General AH Nasution Hall, Army Headquarters (Mabesad), Central Jakarta, Tuesday (20/8).
Mohamad Hasan was officially appointed as Pangkostrad based on the Decree of the TNI Commander Number Kep/851/VII/2024 concerning dismissal from and appointment to positions within the TNI dated July 24, 2024.
Arriving at the Kostrad Headquarters, Mohamad Hasan accompanied by his wife, Ririx Hasan received a report from the Dandenma Kostrad and a flower garland from Kaskostrad Major General TNI Ilyas Alamsyah and Vera Ilyas Alamsyah followed by the tradition of kissing the Pataka and signing a memorandum by the Pangkostrad as well as the handover of troops and defense equipment.
After the handover of office was completed, a farewell and welcoming ceremony was held for the Commander of Kostrad and the former Commander of Kostrad in the Mandala room of the Kostrad Headquarters, Gambir, Central Jakarta.
Mohamad Hasan expressed his gratitude and pride for being given the mandate to become Pangkostrad.
He expressed his sincere gratitude to Lieutenant General Muhammad Saleh Mustafa and his wife, Eka Saleh Mustafa, for their leadership, guidance and development of Kostrad and Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana PG Kostrad.

“In connection with the mandate given by the TNI leadership and the Army Chief of Staff to me as the new Pangkostrad, hopefully through this good opportunity, I hope for support from all elements of Kostrad to carry out this mandate,” he concluded.
Brief Profile of Major General TNI Mohamad Hasan
Major General TNI Mohamad Hasan graduated from the Military Academy (Akmil) in 1993. He was an infantry soldier who began his career in Kopassus (Special Forces Command) of the Indonesian Army (TNI AD). After graduating from Akmil, Hasan served as the Commander of the Group 1/Para Commando Kopassus Unit in Serang. Then, he became the Commander of the Special Raider Infantry Battalion 114/Satria Musara (2009-2011).
Hasan served as Commander of Kodim 0104/East Aceh until 2013 before returning to the Red Beret Corps. He was then trusted to become Deputy Assistant Personnel to the Commander General of Kopassus.

In 2014, Hasan served outside Kopassus as Asrena Paspampres and in 2016, he was promoted to Commander of Group A of the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres). His career continued to climb until he became Commander of Korem 061/Surya Kencana and Deputy Commander of Kopassus in 2019.
In 2020, Hasan was promoted to Danjen Kopassus. In 2021, he held the position of Commander of the Iskandar Muda/Aceh Military Regional Command (Pangdam IM) and Pangdam Jayakarta concurrently serving as Dankogartap I/Jakarta (2023-2024).
Now Major General TNI Mohamad Hasan has officially become the Commander of Kostrad, replacing Lieutenant General TNI Muhammad Saleh Mustafa who currently serves as Inspector General of the TNI.

Besar Harto Karyawan, Irkostrad, Pangdivif 1, 2 and 3 Kostrad, Kapoksahli Pangkostrad, Wair Kostrad, Asren Kostrad, Kaskostrad Assistants, Kostrad Kabalak, Dansat ranks of Kostrad, Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana PG Kostrad management and invited guests.
