On Friday evening there was a major fire at an agricultural property in the village of Unterhörnbach.

KLAM. 18 fire brigades were deployed and fought the fire – the highest alert level 3 was declared. The fire is believed to have started in the barn. The wind makes extinguishing the fire difficult. A telescopic mast platform was also used to fight the fire. Surrounding farmers supported the extinguishing work by bringing water in liquid manure barrels. The smoke was visible from afar on Friday evening and moved in the direction of Grein.

No injuries according to FF – search for animals

“No one was hurt,” said district fire chief Eduard Paireder on Friday at 8:40 p.m. for the district round show. The place where the fire broke out has not yet been determined. Livestock rescue was still ongoing on Friday evening. Escaped animals were searched for using a drone.

The fire brigades in Klam, Saxen, Bad Kreuzen, Grein, Pabneukirchen, Reitberg, St. Nikola an der Donau, St. Thomas am Flaschenstein, Waldhausen im Strudengau, Arbing, Baumgartenberg, Mitterkirchen, Münzbach, Obernstraß, Perg and Hagenberg are or were in action in Mühlkreis and Tragwein.
