Major Drug Trafficking Network Uncovered in Montgomery Police Zone: Marijuana and Cocaine Seized – Four Arrests Made

The Montgomery police zone (Etterbeek, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert and Woluwe-Saint-Pierre) discovered a network of drug traffickers, in this case marijuana and cocaine, it said in a press release on Friday. Four suspects were arrested during seven searches.

An interception of the intervention teams of the zone in November 2022 led to the opening of an investigation. An investigating judge had been seized and had issued several search warrants, executed simultaneously on July 25. Specialized entities from other police zones and the federal police have notably assisted the investigators.

Seven searches were therefore carried out and during these, the police found approximately 50 kg of cannabis resin, 500 g of marijuana, 1 kg of cocaine, 26,000 euros, a gun with ammunition and four cars.

Four suspects were also arrested. and made available to the investigating judge in Brussels. A fifth showed up the next day to the police before also being made available to the investigating judge.

A person, who denies any involvement in the facts, has been placed under arrest warrant for selling narcotics. Two other people were released on conditions following being charged with selling narcotics. One person has not been charged et the fifth was charged with possession of narcoticsspecifies the police zone.
