Thirteen people have been arrested in recent weeks following several months of investigation linked to drug trafficking in the Famenne region, the Famenne-Ardenne police zone announced at the end of the week. Nine people are charged, including three placed under arrest warrant.
Police officers in the Famenne-Ardenne area have carried out around fifteen searches in recent months, and more particularly on November 8 and 9, with the support of the local police of Lesse & Somme, Condroz-Famenne, SECOVA and Seraing-Neupré, dog handlers of the federal police and customs and excise.
Drug trafficking extends around Marche-en-Famenne, Hotton, Durbuy and Rochefort. Following the analysis of the numerous investigative elements collected as part of these files, nine people were charged by the investigating judge, three of whom were placed under arrest warrant.
