This October 17, as part of a case concerning the illegal sale of narcotics dating from January 2023, police officers in the Brussels North zone carried out twelve searches, the police said in a press release.
The subject of the file is the municipality of Schaerbeek. At the beginning of the year, an individual was reported to the police. The latter was suspected of having sold drugs in the Scutenaire park. A situation generating insecurity and nuisance for local residents.
It turns out that the suspect was in fact already known to the police, which is why twelve searches were ordered by the investigating judge. Following these raids, twelve people were arrested, eleven were made available to the judge, only one placed under arrest warrant and ten others charged and released under conditions, lists the police in its press release.
During the searches, police teams made seizures: 50,975 euros, more than two kilos of cannabis and more than 50 kilos of cocaine.
