The Stib network in Brussels will be severely disrupted on Monday June 20 due to a new day of action for purchasing power at the call of trade unions, the public transport company announced on Monday.
The circulation of metros, trams and buses is likely to be severely disrupted next Monday in the capital. The Brussels intermunicipal transport company therefore recommends that its users “plan an alternative means of transport” and apologize for any inconvenience caused.
“It is currently not possible to assess the participation of the driving staff in this action, but we expect strong disruptions”spokeswoman An Van Hamme warned. “The procession of demonstrators in the city center also risks causing several line interruptions and deviations”, she specifies.
Real-time information will be communicated via the usual STIB channels from 6 a.m., namely social networks, the website and customer service. The STIB also confirms that it will endeavor to serve “as wide an area as possible” in order, in particular, to allow students to take their exams.
